Hello!
- My name is Gabriela Jimenez and I am a Math and Reading Interventionist at Vicentia Elementary in Corona, California. I am fortunate to work with students from Kindergarten up to fifth grade. An Interventionist specializes in helping students who are below grade level achieve progress towards their educational goals.
- I teach for a number of reasons! Not only is teaching rewarding and fun but it also brings joy into my day. I love being a facilitator of learning and understanding. Interacting with students provides opportunities to teach them important skills such as time management, goal setting, good citizen character traits, and a growth mindset. These skills help them while they are furthering their education and also play an important role as they transition into college, and later, their careers.
One of the beauties of teaching is that there is no limit to one’s growth as a teacher, just as there is no knowing beforehand how much your students can learn.
